About Liz

Synthesizing various bodywork approaches into a holistic system, Liz provides a totally fresh way of looking at the entire connective tissue and myofascial network. Her approach, rooted in the work of Dr. Ida Rolf and the practice of Structural Integration, goes beyond basic biomechanics and visceral manipulation to create a reliable system of work that restores maximum health and function to the whole body.

Her interest in somatic work began in 1978 with studies in bioenergetics and psycho-physical learning. She began training in cranial sacral work and visceral manipulation in 1985,  doing her Structural Integration training in 1989. Liz had a clinic in Boulder Colorado until 2002.  Currently she practices in New York City and Las Vegas.

In 1995 Liz began teaching techniques for working with the viscera in Structural Integration  In 1997 she began teaching her series on Biomechanics of Alignment.  To date Liz has trained over 200 professional Structural Integration practitioners in Visceral Work and over 300 in Biomechanics.

She has published several articles on Visceral Work, Biomechanics and Structural Integration. She has two popular manuals.  Her “Biomechanics of Alignment” manual is in its 6th edition.  Her new collection, “9 Articles on Structural Integration” is about to go into an expanded second edition.
